kronosposeidonsays...I season mine with bacon, bacon, and more bacon. Then after that, I throw a little bacon in it, fry it up, drain off the fat, and then cook up another batch. Of bacon.
But after my cholesterol hit 900 my doctor told me I had to cut back on fatty foods. So I asked him, "Does this mean I can't put butter on my bacon?"
True story.
swampgirlsays...Bacon is best. I disagree with her about the soap. I never put soap in an iron skillet. I know sounds gross, but such a porous surface as a skillet, you can wind up with a soap flavor. I scrub the skillet with a brush and hot water.
