Despite the high potential of Idiocracy to become a box office sleeper-hit, 20th Century Fox decided to squash Mike Judge's time travel movie before it even had a chance, and the reasons behind their decision are terrible. The movie was saved by independent publishers like Cinema Blend and sci-fi fans with a sense of humor, but could that ever happen again in the future? Maybe not.
