Helping 1.5 mil Iraqi Refugees = Treason

Dennis Kucinich, who those on the right accuse of treason, tells about his visit to Syria to check on the status of the 1.5 million Iraqi refugees who are now living there as a result of our illegal occupation of Iraq.

This is easily the most admirable thing I've seen from a politician in a long time. Dennis Kucinich is behaving the way a President ought to behave. Kudos to Kucinich for setting such a fine example of communicative and honest foreign policy, and kudos to the poster for such a great video.

Yeah, Kucinich is wonderful. Unfortunately the US has very few left-wing Democrats like Dennis Kucinich. Generally the Democrats are well to the right of most European right-wing parties. Also I think it's important to remind our USian friends that liberal and left-wing are not at all the same thing.

Good point, qualm, and it's true. What's considered "left wing" in America is centrist, or center-right, in many European countries.

You see, quite a few of the people here still think that the media is liberal.

They think that because the media has been telling them that for about twenty years.

qualmsays...

Yup. Most Dems are more "liberal" than the Republicans on "values", but after that all bets are off. But hey, even Cindy Sheehan is a right-winger on economic issues. There's hope, though, for a resurgent progressive movement in the US. The recent WSF in Atlanta was a remarkable event.
