by no means do i support the war in iraq. yes, i support the troops though.

it's not their fault that their commander in chief decided to wage a war, but if they're going to be over there, they may as well have the equipment to stay alive.

okay snake, what do you expect them to do? disobey the orders of all of their superiors? go AWOL en masse? no, the military owns them, and they do what they're told. the troops are not at fault here, the government is. i'm sure the troops, for the most part, know why they're really there, but it's not like they can do anything about it.

and as a sidenote, defending must sometimes be accomplished by fighting on foreign soil.

yes, a dishonorable discharge is MUCH better than following orders. most people consider a dishonorable discharge to be the same as a civilian felony.

well, good for him. but as i stated, i am not in the military for reasons such as this. therefore your question about 'would i keep doing it' is moot.

however, to answer your question, if i knew the option existed for "Conscientious Objector" then hell yes i would take that option. if i disagreed with a war i was (somehow) participating in, and to the point of it being an ethical issue, hell yes. consider me educated, but i still don't want this kind of arguing to be public. i got a little too defensive about a video i posted, and i had to kick myself in the face to realise that i'm only linking someone elses video, that someone else linked, that someone else linked, etc.
