Helicopter Crashes in Sea at Copacabana Beach in Brazil

A fire department helicopter crashed into the ocean off Rio de Janeiro’s famous Copacabana beach, as its crew tried to rescue a stranded swimmer. The accident happened on December 29 and was caused by an undetermined mechanical failure. All four crew members walked away from the crash with only minor injuries and the swimmer was rescued by a surfer. (dailypicks)
