George Foreman vs Joe Frazier (1973) - 6 Falls in 2 Rounds

On January 22, 1973, Foreman faced undefeated world Heavyweight champion Joe Frazier in Kingston, Jamaica, knocking him down no less than six times in two rounds and knocking him out in the second round in one of boxing history's biggest upsets to become the world champion. In what was HBO Boxing's first transmission ever, the call made by Howard Cosell, the broadcaster that night ("Down goes Frazier!, Down goes Frazier!, Down goes Frazier!") became one of the most memorable sports calls of all time. Equally memorable was Foreman's final punch, an uppercut landed with such force that it lifted Frazier off his feet before sending him to the canvas. As he had done following the five previous knockdowns, Frazier got up, but this time the referee sensibly stepped in to end the slaughter.

If any one out there played or plays any full contact sports, you know all about how one knock to head can ruin a day. One thing i do remember about combat sports, is that in a long bout when your mussles start to get tired, your mouth is dry, and your hearing starts to go down hill is that you know you have done your best at that point. Because at that point you could be put down by a feather , i have experience that.

In this case I think that when Joe took that upper cut to the head in is corner that should have been the end of it, because after that he wasn't even defending him self very well. Great Vid
