No sane man can condemn another for killing a rabid animal, especially one that immediately threatens his life or the lives of others. As with the rabid animal, a proper show of moral superiority or mercy is impossible; the quicker it's destroyed the better.

Since terrorists--particularly jihadists--are not enemy soldiers, represent no formal armed force and cannot be reasoned with, by their very nature the GCs cannot apply to them. They can only be killed; they chose that fate the moment they reached for the sword.

This not to be taken as defense for those who choose to commit acts of terror but rather to uphold a better standard in the Western World.
