Shepppardsays...Well done, but this doesn't belong in Bravo, Bravo is reserved for Classical music only, and 20ish years doesn't quite fit that niche.

gwiz665says...Morrowind was the best one, I think. Sounds just beautiful.
Oblivion is good when it's really going though.. "dam-dam-DAM dam-damDAM dam-dam-DAM-DAM-DAM-DAM"
And Skyrim seems to be a further development on the Oblivion theme.

I agree with you that Morrowind was better then Oblivion.. but I think Skyrim trumps them all.
All three keep the same "Theme" (the notes played for the rising crescendo) but differently.
Morrowind has it peacefully played by flutes as it climbs, Oblivion has it played with a quicker tempo and by trumpets, and skyrim put lyrics to it, and gave it a more grand feel.
(Thanks Gwiz)
That video is a really good way of hearing how the theme evolved throughout the three games.

Thats on purpose as Skyrim is a direct sequal to Oblivion.
honkeytonk73says...I liked how I could go into Oblivion's dir and change the game music to my liking... and burn the MP3's to play in my car when commuting. I need to check around to see if anyone figured out how to extract the Skyrim tunes from an installed copy... looks like the tunes are no longer as easy to get to.
For a fresh take on Oblivion though.. the Lord of the Rings soundtrack fits perfectly.
