Fitting In Cardboard - zefrank

Dealing with self esteem and doubts.
Procrastinatronsays...

I distinctly remember having spent an entire day, when I was seven years old, trying to breathe as quietly as possible.

See, I could never hear all the other kids breathing, but I could always hear it very clearly when I did it myself, so I figured that there was some really simple trick to breathing through your nose that I was just too stupid to figure out.

Then again, I also went several days without talking at one point. I was a pretty awkward kid, to say the least.

That's really funny. On topic, i can definitely associate with this, and i'd say i find it very hard to be myself. I think we all have this kind of feeling, to some degree, but you can really tell when you're with someone who is completely comfortable with themselves - or maybe i just think i can.

I feel that, when i do remember to just be myself, i never struggle for something to say to someone, never feel out of place or even embarrassed, but it's kind of hard to be yourself!

There is a hand book and it's a mormon too. I mean, it's the thing they read. Not the bible. That other book. The one that describes post-scarcity domination of human women and planet conquering supermen.
