First sci-fi film ever (1902) with modern soundtrack, 6 mins

This represents several months of work. Bruce Sterling has taken Georges Méliès' 1902 classic film "A Trip to the Moon" (Une Voyage dans la Lune), the first science fiction film ever produced, and dubbed on an original soundtrack!

before watching this, remember a screening of Nosferatu (silent), with a live orchestra and that performing a new score, written specifically for that screening.....magick

While it is very cool and I really dig the music, I dont think it goes very well with this film.

Everyone will have a different opinion about what music would work... I just love the concept of bringing an old movie back to life with new sound, instead of the tinny old piano scores that have become such a cliché with silent films.
