I don't know if they (the designers) ever said it couldn't be done. It was merely a gameplay balance issue. I.e. why would you take the Unteroffizier or Sturmtruppe class when you can run around with that bad boy?

But I certainly imagine DoD has been taken as a reference for fact by gamers, so hopefully this quells such arguments!

Don't you know, just the sound of that mthrfkr sent chills down allied spines???

this is a heavy mother... 12 kilos. i handled it once when i was in the army, shooting blanks but still loud as hell. and you have to change the barrel once it gets too hot. and it gets hot very quickly
