Ok, I have a friend who can do the 'remember a whole deck of cards thing' and has competed in the world memory championships... and he tells me how he does it. It's using a common method of you have a set journey in your mind, and that journey has 52 stops, and at those 52 stops you put in things which represent the cards. That's how he does it... but he has NEVER had bloodied or mutilated or hung people anywhere in his method.
"Wrap it around his neck, I'm the violent one"
"Um, OK"
HadouKen24says...Memory tricks like these have been around a long time. Marcus Tullius Cicero, the famous Roman orator and philosopher, was supposedly so skilled in using them that he was able to memorize hour-long speeches and repeat them verbatim.
