Man, this is a childhood favorite. I quote it ALL the time!

So do I, unfortunately none of my friends know what the heck I'm talking about!

I first heard this on the Johnny Carson show told by Orson Bean sometime back in the 70s. It's a classic, but it all depends on the telling (like "The Aristocrats"). This is, without a doubt, the worst telling I've ever heard.

But it does remind me of this parrot a photographer friend had. The parrot had learned the proper response to a particular stimuli - when the phone rang, the parrot would shriek "I'LL GET IT!"
