boombapsays...Up vote for incredible cuteness. True it's probably not the best idea to let your freaking huge dog do that. It's interesting though, looking at examples of feral children, and even youtube videos or pictures of mother animals adopting abandoned babies of other species, it seems like some animals have some innate understanding of what a baby is and their need to be cared for and protected regardless of species.
I remember my mother telling me a story of how when I was first born my dachshund would growl at any stranger who got to close to me. Obviously that ended when I was old enough to look out for myself.
