Did Canada cave under US/Israeli pressure?

Jan 16th Canada adds US and Israel to the list of countries that torture in a Canadian torture manual.

Jan 19th. Canada apologizes and promises to <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/01/19/world/main3731678.shtml>re-write the manual with US or Isreal.

Low point in Canadian politics.

I mean seriously when I was there the topic was always about trying to differentiate Canadian policies and stands away from the USA. This is just willful self censorship.

TRN is the site that i want to be able to embed directly from, the most, of the ones we don't already.

has anyone ever asked about it? i've never seen the request, nor do i remember mentioning it before now. but, yeah.

They post clips to their youtube channel usually the same day they appear on the site. Not ideal turnaround for a news channel I know, but neither is the time it takes to escape the queue here. Also note that this is not their long-term format of choice. They mention on the site that they are researching a variety of players to find the best technology for their content.

I expect we'll see big changes when they hit version 2.-something.
