Dick Dale & The Del Tones - "Misirlou" 1963

Dick Dale (born Richard Anthony Monsour on May 4, 1937, in Quincy, Massachusetts) is "The King of the Surf Guitar": a pioneer of surf rock and one of the most influential guitarists of the early 1960s. He experimented with reverberation and made use of custom made Fender amplifiers, including the first ever 100 watt amp.

It's funny, the music seems so dark and almost subversive and there they are with short hair and cute little suits holding their guitars like they're on one of those variety shows with an orchestra that all stand behind those podiums. I will never understand the 50s and early sixties.
