According to who? They announced it at '2008 Blizzard Entertainment® Worldwide Invitational' in Paris earlier today, showing this plus a 19 minute long gameplay video with developer commentary.

Announcing it at an event like that hardly seems like someone releasing it a day early.

They look better in the HD version of the video available via the diablo3 site, 1280x544. Here's a screencap of the 2 cities around that time point. Not quite big enough to make a wall sized print though. Diablo 3 City 1 and Diablo 3 City 2.

Im hella excited but does anyone else kinda see some overlap? I mean this could easily of been a WoW trailer with more of a LOtR's flare to it. Nothing against Blizzard but the whole meteorite is straight from the trailer of the Burning Legion but this time is the Burning Hell...hmm

If only we could render fire like that in real-time.

I dunno, pretty pictures and all but the music feels cliched and the introductory text good enough to make me want to wince.
