....seriously, this is by far, one of the best renditions of the old west, as far as real, down-home, hard-ass, frontier, during the period, that any one has ever photographed, and again, I know folks, who would have otherwise enjoyed the hell out of it, had it not been for Al's potty mouth, not to mention, that of his bitc,..er., uh employees....(this PC shit is too much, I am so used to typing mhtfker....there?/That better??..

I loved this series. It truly elevated cursing and cussing into an art form.

Now that the producer/creator of this fine series has left it to make some surfer series for HBO, all I can say is it BETTER be outstanding. They say though that there is going to be two HBO movies to tie up Deadwood as a series...but honestly, I wouldn't hold my breath for that.

I was told that the reason the show won't be doing a fourth season is because the actors were only under contract to do three. Once time came around to negotiate contracts for a fourth season so many members of the cast had committed to other projects that the producers couldn't round them all up to make a fourth season. I've never heard of the surfer show, it sounds kind of lame.

Deadwood totally rocks my world, Al Swearengen has got to be one of the all time best TV characters!

Hilarious - Swearengen is a great character. You've got my vote!

I don't know who did the edit for this piece, but they're good -- it has a poetic rhythm to it building up to somthing like a musical crescendo. The time it takes to gather all those clip together and organize them... it's an accomplishment!
