Hmmm, looks good - I'll have to check it out.

The most underrated sci-fi movie released I find, this is like an intellectual version of the matrix. Relying more on dialogue then action.

You haven't seen The Battle Of Algiers I reckon

Two years ago I saw "The Battle of Algiers" at our film festival.

I referenced this movie recently in my discarded "Strange Days" post. But, to reiterate, much like "Strange Days" I feel this movie is one of the great overlooked sci-fi films of the past 20 years or so. For those who have not seen it, go over to YouTube and watch it. It is something like a deeper, darker, more cerebral, grown up version of the Matrix.

I was, after referencing the movie in that above post, going to post a clip of the opening seven minutes of the film in an attempt to get others to watch it, but never got around to it.

Keifer Sutherland is in it too. None of that Jack Bauer stuff.

That's really incidental, the scenes are similar because the sets for Dark City's rooftop chase for example were used for the rooftop chase with the Agents and Trinity in the Matrix. I remember hearing this on the commentary track.
