benjeesays...A short explanation/further example of Danger Mouse's (the guy behind Gnarls Barkley) project can be found in this video on YouTube. Essentially, it's an amazing 'mash-up' or remixing of The BeatlesWhite Album and Jay-Z's Black Album (I know: he's a much better crack dealer than he is a person/musician/lyricist, but it's actually quite good). The Grey Album (Danger Mouse's entire project) was the most downloaded music ever on the internet (much to the dismay of the record companies attempting to make a profit from his hard work).
P.S. The video is worth a watch alone - no-where else can you find Ringo scratching vinyl or The Beatles break-dancing!
Farhad2000says...This is probably the best song from the whole Grey Album.
benjeesays...It doesn't seem to be getting the attention it deserves...maybe I should change the tags to Beatles Breakdancing or something?
Farhad2000says...I find sticking the words AWESOME in the title always helps...
silvercordsays...Well done!
antsays...I don't like rap music, but the video was funny.
benjeesays...Maybe a bit shameless to *nominate my own Sift...but I've run out of time and it's my last one (at least it's both internet only and created nearly in 2006!)
benjeesays...Damn - too late (wrong time-zone - DOH!)
