When he first gets thrown against the stone wall by the spectator, it looks like he's embellishing just a bit.

I love how these people care so much that they don't bother to help the guy still laying on the ground. Hmmm... can't deside on the fake or not.

The guy tries to throw himself over the fence before the spectator pushes him over. Definitely fake.

I don't think it's fake. He trips over the spokes of his bicycle, and the reaction of trying to disentangle himself from them moves him closer to the edge.

You never know, the other cyclist could have started it a few turns back and this guy was just trying to get back at him...
