This isn't entirely imaginary. It's hard enough being gay, but it's even harder being both black and gay (or, for that matter, Hispanic and gay). Homophobia in black and Latino communities is much higher than in American culture at large.

Since I'm only half gay, is there a half black person out there who wants to fight me?
