Christian Adventist Group Invade Humanist Meeting in Nigeria

Supporters of "witch exorcist" Pastor Helen Akpabio stormed the Calabar Cultural Center with the intent of disrupting a child's rights conference being sponsored by Stepping Stones Nigeria and the Nigerian Humanist Movement. The crowd of over 150 fanatics stormed into the hall chanting religious slogans and intimidating the small crowd, which they outnumbered by more than 5 to 1. Organizers of the event, and the crowd in general, were insulted and physically assaulted to the point where they were forced to abandon the meeting hall and reassemble outside the grounds of the Cultural Center. The police eventually arrived to disperse the mob and a few hours later the conference continued with a large number of supporters in attendance.

"This witchcraft thing, is based on superstition..., it doesn't exist... so our people need to be educated on the stupidity of the system!"

Well, I don't know anything about the witchcraft thing myself, and I'm sure they are doing a good thing for their people, but then I hear "In the name of Jesus" and I wonder which superstition is worse?

Not to slam christianity here but, a mob shining with self rightiousness claiming to to be doing the right thing in the name of another thing somehow rings awkardly wrong to my ears!

^I believe the person shouting "In the name of Jesus" was of the Christian "witch exorcist" faction that disrupted the Humanist meeting. The people in the orange shirts were part of the Christian group. The ones in the white shirts were the Humanists, including the rational man in the end.
