Guntersays...Bet it's some cheap batting cage ball that is hollow to keep the cost per ball down.
Paybacksays...Even if the cork fell out, where that rubber is in the ball should all be wool.
Baseballs are about a 3/4" cork ball, surrounded by about 1/4 inch of rubber, the rest is wool and cotton string, all wrapped by leather.
