budzosThis type of phrasing ("fine tuned") is so confusing to laymen, weak atheists, and religious people. People like my mom hear the title and assume there must be a "fine tuner" at work.
The universe came first and then we evolved within it. Since life as we know it evolved in this universe, this universe is by definition most hospitable to life as we know it.
BhruicYup, it's like what Douglas Adams said about the puddle of water in the pothole. "This is an interesting world I find myself in – an interesting hole I find myself in – fits me rather neatly, doesn't it? In fact it fits me staggeringly well, must have been made to have me in it!"
