This is the end of a British Show after the spirit of Bill Bryson's book, Notes from a Small Island. Here he explains some of why after 8 years in the US, he once again moved his family back to Britain.

yea as an englishman in New York and San Diego I always felt supremely uncomfortable with the feeling of dread (ie being shot) that I felt while in the states. It just doesn't have the same comfortable cozyness that the British Isles have.

as another englishman who left that ridiculous island... i can say this is bollocks.
you need a LOT of money to like the UK...

...maybe the kind of money you would get if you wrote a cozy book about how great the UK is.
