"Beggars Banquet" scene from Viridiana

Famous scene from the 1961 film "Viridiana". The Vatican and the Spanish government had a big problem with this movie and it was banned for years.

It's the story of a woman who is about to become a nun but due to bizarre circumstances she ends up inheriting a farm and decides to dedicate her life to sheltering the homeless there. When she leaves town they take over the house in this scene.

Check it out if you can, it's a unique film. It's on the "1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die", along with 1000 other films.

Some of Buñuel's symbolism in it is clunky and painfully obvious but it's my favorite film of his. And Silvia Pinal is excellent as Viridiana.
