Wonderful instrument. It's worth checking out some music by Dead Can Dance who use many of these rare and beautiful instruments to make the most fantastic music...

Agree, wonderful instrument. Mandolin player told me recently, "the only thing wrong with a hammered duclimer is....the hammers aren't big enough."
Couldn't disagree more.
