I think I've figured out how to solve this whole crap economy = need more taxes on rich. Since the rich fuckers out there don't think they should pay modestly higher taxes than everyone else, do this: charge everyone 40% taxes, but let them deduct what they spend. Economies function on money changing hands. Rich people don't spend nearly the same share of their income as poor people. That's why "trickle-down" just doesn't work. Myself, I spend 90% of my meager salary, whether it be on bills, groceries, or the one movie a month I allow myself(10% goes to savings). The economy needs money to be spent, and if the rich people aren't going to spend their money then they can give it to the government. That way they have the choice, buy shit, anything, cars, houses, tvs, it doesn't matter, just spend the damn money.
