BBC report on London's pirate radio stations

Kool FM is arguably the longest running breakbeat hardcore, jungle and drum'n'bass pirate radio station in the world. Kool first broadcast 28th November 1991 from East London on 94.5FM. Kool FM (along with its then sister station Rush FM), were instrumental in the development of drum and bass music. In recent years, Kool FM have moved to the frequency of 94.6FM. Kool FM (and Rush FM) have produced a 'who's who' of today's respected and key movers within drum and bass, including DJ Brockie, DJ Spice, Ron, SL, Five-O, MC Moose, Navigator, Skibadee, Mampi Swift, Bryan G, Nicky Blackmarket and Shabba.
