On November 20th, 2016 North Dakota water protectors used a semi truck in an attempt to remove burnt military vehicles which the police chained to concrete barriers weeks ago to keep the bridge blocked on 1806.

In response, police unleashed water cannons of freezing water on protectors in weather that ranged from 23 to 26 degrees. Police also shot people with rubber bullets and sprayed tear gas and mass.

This footage, shot by photojournalist August White, shows the mass hypothermia that ensued as well as one male protector's bullet would to the head.
