Australia - Where Kids Play With Venomous Creatures For Fun

We set out to a fresh water lake hoping to find a Goanna (Lace Monitor) to catch. We cook up some bacon on a fire, have fun swimming in the lake and find some cool little critters before spotting a large Goanna sinking its mouth into a maggot infested turtle carcass. Now the question is... are they venomous?
