Apple takes on FireFox with Safari for Windows

From the uploader: So now Steve Jobs wants to eat FireFox for breakfast with a Windows version of Safari, Apple's own web browser. Well, that's an interesting thought at least in Steve Jobs' distorted reality.. which I obviously do not subscribe... and that's an understatement! "Safari has been a wonderful success. There are now over 18 million users [...] It's climbed (marketshare-wise) from 0 when we introduced it a few years ago to 5% across the entire Internet"

His growth graph at the start made me chuckle. It was shooting up like a rocket.... All the way to 5%! Shows it's all in how you present your data...

I've been using Camino on my Mac for a few months. I have to say it's as fast as Safari - the downside is that you can't use FF extensions with it, but then you can't with Safari either.

I do like my Firefox add-ons.

When I was running Panther, Google Video began making Safari crash. That's when I switched to Firefox.

With Tiger there was a Safari upgrade, but that was it. There hasn't been anything further until this beta version.

What amuses me most is that Jobs goes on and on about 3.000 widgets to choose from, yet there are no add-ons to Safari.

Flock has extensions. Anyone use it regularly?
