Another Department Covers Up Felony Assault

Tennessee police handcuffed and hogtied a man accused of vandalism, then once he was secured in the back seat pepper sprayed 4 cans of mace in his face and left him to writhe struggling for breath in the back seat, face covered in mace foam.
Even internal affairs couldn’t completely whitewash this crime and those involved in the assault and false report were disciplined with long weekends, but the felony assault charges were not given to the DA until a media investigation turned up the blatant coverup.
Under one administration’s plan, they won’t cover up these crimes anymore because with total immunity it won’t be a crime to assault or even kill citizens for any slight imagined or real.
