Alison Moyet on David Letterman ("Tenderness")

"Try a Little Tenderness," was used by the late Sam Cooke in live shows, but he never recorded a studio version. After Cooke's death, Otis Redding didn't want to record it, but he eventually caved into pressure, and it became one of his signature songs. "Try a Little Tenderness" was also Three Dog Night's first top 40 hit. The song was written and composed by Jimmy Campbell, Harry Connelly, and Harry Woods.

From the looks of it, this particular performance was probably in the late '80s, though I'm not sure on the exact date. Alison Moyet's voice is amazing. I think you'll agree!
