Alien Technology? Building Ancient World Monuments

Farhad2000says...

OMGZ HUMAN HAX

But seriously, Is it hard to believe that perhaps like we had our Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton, the ancient world would have the similar great scholars that would make these constructions possible? Human progression has really taken place because we publish works of knowledge, preserve them and pass them on.

We know that we have lost so many old world works of science and knowledge, lost in place like the library of Alexandria. Who knows what people might have deduced by then via ancient scholars? As to the large structures and alingment of the stars? Those were the world's wonders at the time. Why wouldn't one worship it, their mystery must have baffled these ancient peoples just like they do us now.

And Mars-Earth connections? Cheap shot using the old photographs that make it look like a face and pyramids. That same site has been photographed countless times showing no evidence of structures just natural formations. I don't think the drones they have at mars would be racing towards a large crater looking for possible evidence of microscopic life if there was evidence of a intelligent structures on mars.

I don't understand why we have to always say we relied on someone else to progress. Still entertianing watching.

I'm with you farhad, unfortunately, people don't credit themselves as often as they should. We're all really ingenuitive creatures.

As for ancient technology and great minds. If we stop to consider that during the entire Middle Ages all classical texts were completely unknown to us. All the great advancements in "Western" Philosophy was spoon fed to us by the Middle East, who had the sense to preserve the texts of Aristotle, Plato, etc.

Just imagine how many great things have been forgotten either through time or our own stupidity. The only problem is, we have the control to stop one of them, we just refuse to believe it.

I get a kick out of all of this, not because they claim aliens exist but because of the Far out theories people make up to prove aliens exist. they're only following exapmles *cough* bush admin *cough*

Ahh, Erich Von Daniken (the little dutchman who gets to speak first in this clip), one of my favorite pseudo-scientists! I actually went to one of his lectures about five years ago and met him... he is a crazy bastard!! Anyway, just so you all know, this guy, for all the books he has published, actually has no credetials whatsoever, before "Chariots of the Gods" was published in 1968 he was a concierge at a hotel... not someone I would "grab onto the coattails of".

As fun as the fantasy of ancient alien patronage is he, and people like him, have done a huge disservice to humanity as a whole by taking the credit of amazing accomplishments away from our ancestors and placing it in the laps of extraterrestrials. I think it is hugely important for us to recognize that despite the 'primative' lifestyles and technology of the ancients they were every bit as intelligent, creative, and determined as we are.

Anyway, I'm done ranting... but as a student of archaeology, you can understand my ire.

These arguments seem like the exact same ones used for creationism.

"You cannot disprove my theory, so therefore it is right." Add some doubt in the scientific method with no basis in the real world, and voila! Aliens created the lost city of atlantis whose decendents shot JFK on the grassy knoll.

To Jason Martel who asked "how did ancients develop such advanced technologies?" in the video. My answer - there were no assholes like him on television to distract them.
