Alan Grayson: Republicans Are "Knuckle-Dragging Neanderthals

radxsays...

If you don't mind me making this point for the 100th time: discussions on American television are completely unbearable. They discuss - and that's already stretching the term quite far - on a level that belongs into a pub. Shut the fuck up for a minute and let the other guy speak, how about that ...

I think it's absolutely amazing that this guy is doing this and no one seems to notice. He said these things SO HE COULD GET ON YOUR SHOW and spread his message! He's not going to answer your question head on about "being over the top" or "wrong choice of words", etc. directly because he's going to use that talking time to push his message; a message which I agree with.

This is the kind of stuff Republicans do all the time on shows. I'm glad this guy is doing it now...even though on a normal human conversation level, it's so annoying.

Oh, and boo hoo name calling, you're mean, and all that other bullshit. The Republicans can sling mud, but they definitely can't take it. They are like a little kid who picks on an older one, gets punched in the teeth and runs home to his mommy.

Hear hear. With any luck both sides will start acting like children on these ridiculous "news" shows, Americans will tune out entirely, and then we can put this tactic to rest.

I do wish that he would take a moment to explain what he meant by "die quickly". The simple fact is that a majority of bankruptcies in the US involve overwhelming medical bills. So if you don't want to leave your family in financial ruins as the result of your illness, you should die before incurring too many hospital bills. This is nowhere near the same as "death panels" or whatever other spin they were trying to put on his words.
