Ace of Base is a dance-pop band from Gothenburg, Sweden. They released their debut album in 1992 and their worldwide album sales exceed 32 million.

Their first album, also called The Sign was given the Guinness World Record for "Best-Selling Debut Album". The single spent six weeks at number 1 in the United States, becoming the best-selling single of the year 1994.

As of 2007, Ace of Base is recording a new album, stating on their official website: "we are now back in the studio again, with more inspiration than ever". Their first full-length concert since 1996 will be played in Bangalore, India, on November 24, 2007.

Ace of Base: The biggest band out of Sweden since...uhhh...Roxette? I'd really like to upvote this because I got laid to this song one time, but my inner music critic forbids it. Sorry.

Wait a second; upon further drunken reflection I realize that the song I got laid to was their other hit "All That She Wants". Maybe I'm splitting hairs here, especially because both of these tunes are utterly forgettable, but I'm afraid I'm going to need to downvote this one. Sorry, E_Nygma, but at least it's already been sifted. (I was about to expound on how sexual intercourse occurred in this case while "All That She Wants" played in the background, but then I realized that doing so would qualify as an entry straight from the book of Who Gives A Flying Fuck.)
