chingalerasays...Doesn't seem to be an inordinate amount of obese folks in the Bulgarian herd, eh? Lesse...Fit, healthy, have their own language, a culture intact after how many centuries? Peeps have been in that region since way before Al the great and Rome fucked-em over, quite the rich, intact history.
Compare to my country with fast-food sense of culture, a language hi-jacked by hip-hop, mumblers, and newsspeak (can't decide which irks me most), and a history of ass-raping sans lube....3 of the many reasons the U.S. might make it to 250 years-old...Sooooo, 13 years left.
Empires don't die, they mutate like blobs in B-Movies.
brycewi19says...My ears literally hurt from that high-pitched woodwind instrument (not sure what it's called).
hamsteralliancesays...Sounds like a Zurna to me. http://youtu.be/6GlU3e5zJS8?t=20s

rebuildersays...@chingalera: Yes, fit, healthy people setting themselves on fire in the streets because their lives seem so hopeless!
OK, OK, that's an outlier, but Bulgaria isn't exactly paradise, either. They do seem to know a thing or two about weddings, though!
chingalerasays...Hey, that was one passionate couple of months of protest in 2013-Up until then Bulgaria was relatively quiet!
I did find this Bulgarian wedding ring quite interesting though...

jatohasays...Pretty nice, but it's no chicken dance.
tractor37says...Not a zurna, it's a gajda - bulgarian bagpipe. And horo means "dance". The dance is a (fast) ruchenitsa. There are many variations.
Esoogjokingly says...How did they teach all those cats to screech that music together like that?
OW MY EARS!!!!
