I worked (once) for the military industrial complex. Complete mess. Even though our company was efficient, there was an incredible amount of overhead in management.

Lockheed Martin is the most inept customer / partner we had to deal with. They were always late and amazingly inept, considering they're one of the largest producers of things to kill in the world.
