anyprophetsays...Well, just because it only takes a minute to make a small painting like this doesn't mean it's not worth any money. It takes a lot of skill and experience to do something like that.
That being said, you will never see one of those inside my house. I think they're pretty tacky.
vairetubesays...it's all good... you're already getting ripped of by having to pay for something that grows anywhere... throw in a lavalamp with the poster and you've got a deal
Fadesays...You're getting ripped off if you pay anything for art.

A stupid, stupid sentiment if ever there was one. I make commercial art, that is, I am a fashion and beauty photographer who shoots for magazines and advertisers. People pay me because I can modify and execute their vision for them.
Friends of mine are fashion designers and jewelers? Does their art not deserve pay?
Lastly, art IS subjectively valuable. You may not consider it worthwhile, but many people do appreciate art, and thus assign a subjective value to it. If that value and the value an artist places on their own work match up, you have reached an acceptable value to pay.
In what way are you getting ripped off if you pay for art?
Fadesays...Precisely because it is subjective. It has no inherent value in and of itself.
Your face is a stupid sentiment
Fadesays...Oh and btw, I'm a proffesional photographer myself. Just for the record.
