Brief history on the largest government sponsor of terrorism

eric3579 says...

One of the first non-Afghan volunteers to join the ranks of the mujahideen was Osama bin Laden, a civil engineer and businessman from a wealthy construction family in Saudi Arabia, with close ties to members of the Saudi royal family. Bin Laden recruited 4,000 volunteers from his own country and developed close relations with the most radical mujahideen leaders. He also worked closely with the CIA, raising money from private Saudi citizens. By 1984, he was running the Maktab al-Khidamar, an organization set up by the ISI to funnel "money, arms, and fighters from the outside world in the Afghan war."

Since September 11, CIA officials have been claiming they had no direct link to bin Laden. These denials lack credibility. Earlier this year, the trial of defendants accused of the 1998 U.S. embassy bombing in Kenya disclosed that the CIA shipped high-powered sniper rifles directly to bin Laden's operation in 1989. Even the Tennessee-based manufacturer of the rifles confirmed this. According to the Boston Globe,

"Unfotunately, for select few the impossible is that two planes hit two buildings."

I'm not going to bother with a long, drawn out counterpoint.

I couldn't find Jeff King at MIT, either. Good work.

Nothing I say - no source that I post - will ever convince you that what happened in New York City on September 11, 2001 was anything other than what you've been told by the Bush administration.

If you think that two buildings can fall as fast as those fell without some sort of demolitions, fine. If you think WTC7 fell like it fell without demos, fine.

I wash my hands of you, and everybody like you.

The owner's of the Great American Plantation had very much to gain by the events of September 11, 2001. Namely, more power, more control and more money. Keep the people in constant fear, and they'll pray to their gods in government to protect them. So, sad! Too much TV and they cannot think for themselves. I saw Superman fly around the sun on TV. Many people still believe that man has walked on the moon. If you believe that, I have some ocean front property in Nebraska you need to see!

"Terrorists" killed around 3,000 people on September 11, 2001.

The Bush adminisration kills 700,000+ from the spring of 2002 to today, and displaces 2,000,000 Iraqi's.

Tell me: who is the real terrorist here?

September 11, 2001 is an historic date, the day the Bush family friends and financial backers from Saudi Arabia had their son send and attack the US using their own trained Saudi citizens. In response, Bush allowed all suspect Saudis to leave the country and to this day continues to do their bidding in the middle east, including fighting a proxy war in Iraq and threatening the "other" religion in Iran.

Pat Condell - Islam in Europe

I genuinely hope this guy is wrong and over the top. I certainly disagree that even a sizable minority of Muslims were "dancing in the street" over September 11. Most Muslims arent fanatics but they are not doing enough to condemn the extremists. A cartoon of the prophet gets angry protest the world over but where is the outrage at the hijacking of Islam by extremists?

What scares me is that a clear majority (according to recent reputable surveys)of young British Muslims want Sharia law in Britain. No, No, No, Never Ever and once again NO! I'm Sorry but even the thought makes me mad as hell.

14 Signs of Fascism

I agree with this video on so many levels, as an American:
1. We are so overly pro-military...yes we are probably the most powerful military force in the world...yet we use it only to procure oil and ignore genocide (Darfur)
2. Protesters of ANY kind are now labeled "terrorists" or (at best) "un-American", when, in reality, dissidence is the highest form of patriotism AND is what founded this country
3. Sexism is not that laughable...I don't think Hillary would be raising so many old, white eyebrows if she were a man
4. Religion and government have been intertwined in a very distubing way, since Bush hired so many (150) in his administration, based solely on their status as graduates from Pat Robertson's College.
5. Cronyism, cronyism, cronyism.
6. The right wing has led a campaign based solely on fear mongering since September 11, 2001, and luckily for them, many Americans are stupid and lazy and PREFER to be told what to think (scary, scary shit)
7. Face it...Bush is a retard whose father just happened to be President of the United States for one crappy term and whose brother just happened to be governor of Florida during the 2000 (edit) election (ya know...Florida...the one state upon which the 2000 (edit) election hinged)
8. I could go on, but I prefer not to think any more about the sorry state of the US.

It's actually a pretty interesting documentary. It's not terribly glib and self-reighteous in its approach, which is a good thing. I've been coming to videosift for a long time, but this is the first thing I've posted. I only did so because just recently I've been doing research on this subject - as much research as I can do without taking samples from Ground Zero myself. I think it's important to allow the hypothesis of thermate explosives used on September 11, 2001.
