Well, maybe we should have some sort of ordering of channels, to see if some were specializations of others. In the end I fear that it would turn into yahoo-hell with endless specializations and channels/topics.

I also think that we should have diamonds be able to suggest channels, but not wholly decide them, such that a really bad channel that is too specific ("bullet types used in saving private ryan"-channel), too general ("life, the universe and everthing"-channel) or too abrasive ("choggie and the lolcats"-channel.. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist) and so on, could be rejected. Such that we don't get a plethora of different channels.

Already some of the channels are sadly sparsely populated.

Meditative and hypnotic movie. I loved it. But you need to dedicate a thoughtful rainy Sunday to really enjoy it. Saving Private Ryan this is not.

I saw this hour BBC documentary (not a movie/TV that I expected) two nights ago. It was pretty cool. Nice re-enactments. Check it out if you like WWII history stuff, especially D-Day.

Now, I have the urge to rewatch Saving Private Ryan movie or play a WWII game. LOL!

Well, reason, I like your quote. I suspect most of those who are against the Iraq war for any number of reasons (unconstitutional declaration of war, lies about the reason for war, lack of desire to be involved in other country's civil conflicts, etc.) would like your quote. I've often thought that "Shindler's List" and "Saving Private Ryan" would be a great, if emotionally exhausting, double bill. I believe this is what we call a straw man argument: those who are against this war must believe nothing is worth war, so they are decayed and degraded. ha ha ha ha.

Exactly. I went there expecting a Saving Private Ryan and instead I got a the offspring for a LOTR battle that raped The Hills Have Eyes.
I wanted to leave 20 minutes into it, but 1)I paid money to see it and 2)I had people with me that I brought there. At least there were boobs. Pointless, unwarranted boobs.

BrightGuy, that's all fine and good and that's the reason to have the FCC, to regulate spectrum...but not to police the airwaves on the content. Decency should be left to the listener/viewer, not from some government agency who won't even say what they'll fine for...you have to air something and get fined first before they'll tell you. When they wanted to run Saving Private Ryan a few years ago on broadcast TV they asked the FCC would they get fined, the FCC said they won't answer that...basically telling them air it and find out!

All this to "protect the children"...you know what, I'm sick of the goddamn children...
