Hubblecast 18: Galaxy NGC 1275 is a magnetic monster (in HD)
yummy. the bigger the picture, the more we appreciate the high definition.
oh, and ^Constitutional_Patriot:
> This is really great stuff but Dr. J here is a bad teleprompter reader.. he sounds so... lame.
kinda, but i also appreciate hearing it from those in the trenches, and not a talking head. and i could deal with his narration, if he wasn't in front of the pretty pictures quite so often.
but hey. his skyhook is still the bomb.
> A hot nerdy chic would be awesome to deliver these great messages.
assuming no female sifters are interested in the job, i nominate her.

Was the DC Madam murdered?
Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
I think she was murdered. Doesn't have to be Cheney. Soooo many high profile clients. From the BBC article:
Other patrons of the agency - known as Pamela Martin and Associates - included Nasa officials, top military officers, World Bank and International Monetary Fund executives, as well as the head of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), Randall Tobias, who stepped down after being named as a client.
Also, women generally don't hang themselves. They choose pills or other efficient methods.

imagining the 10th dimension
I really think the preamble from www.tenthdimension.com is worth mentioning alongside this video. It's included right at the end of the video, but is only seen for a fairly short time:
![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/wink.gif)
"The "theory of reality" that I advance on this website and in the book "Imagining the Tenth Dimension" is not the one that is commonly accepted by today's physicists. Anyone wanting to know more about the currently established thinking behind string theory and the tenth or eleventh dimension should refer to such excellent books as "Parallel Worlds" by Michio Kaku, "The Fabric of the Cosmos" by Brian Greene, or "Warped Passages" by Lisa Randall.
I invite you to think of this as an entertaining diversion that for some people will have a strong and thought-provoking connection to their impression of how the world really works. If you click on "The Forum", you will be taken to a page that gives readers an opportunity to debate the concepts presented in the book and this website more fully. Enjoy! " - Rob Bryanton
The presentation in the video suggests that it is presenting factual information, so I think it's important that it be qualified as what it really is: a hypothesis.
With all that said, an excellent video.
What Really Happens During Ejaculation
The YouTube uploader says it is from "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex." Woody Allen directed the movie which was released in 1971.
Netflix description:
Questions from Dr. David Reuben's once-controversial book of the same name are turned into seven silly Woody Allen-penned vignettes featuring Allen as a cowardly sperm, Gene Wilder as a man who falls head-over-hooves in love with a sheep named Daisy, John Carradine as a scientist who creates a 50-foot-tall breast, and Regis Philbin guessing the strange sexual habits of game-show contestants.
The cast also includes:
John Carradine, Lou Jacobi, Louise Lasserm Anthony Quayle, Tony Randall, Lynn Redgrave and Burt Reynolds

Repeated use of "the Wilhelm scream" over the years in movies
Did this vid mention Clerks?
![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/smile.gif)
Rewatched it yesterday and noticed that Randall was watching a movie which had the scream - that was a great inside joke now that I understand it.
