Sooner than that.. next beta weekend!

IKNOWRIGHT?!?! Game w/ me when it comes out?
In reply to this comment by berticus:
I caved and bought GW2 and managed to play a few hours in the beta weekend.
Holy. Fucking. Shit.
I recommend everyone go immerse yourself in as much footage/reviews/commentary/gameplay/whatever of this game that you possibly can. (e.g., http://www.reddit.com/r/guildwars2)
I am so psyched now. Arenanet just seems to be doing EVERYTHING right. The world is alive, in a very real sense. You can play the game how you want to. The combat is active and skillful, not click+repeat. The events are dynamic. The list of things that make this game incredible just goes on and on and on.
JESUS CHRIST MY LIFE IS OVER
@<a rel="nofollow" href="http://videosift.com/member/enoch" title="member since April 22nd, 2009" class="profilelink">enoch it's certainly not just pvp focused -- but the pvp is going to be insane. I was worried about it when I first heard about gw2... It seemed like they were getting rid of the incredible pvp from gw1. But no, in fact, they've just made it even better. People are raving about how great WvWvW is, and structured PvP looks to be more 'classical'.
OH GOD
OH GODDDDDDDD IM FUCKED

I think you may have asked me once before, maybe in the lounge (vague memory). Sadly I'm in a similar position, I just wouldn't have time to properly manage it. Appreciate the offer though!
In reply to this comment by jonny:
Hey - do you have any interest in taking the Brain channel? Or did I already ask you that once before? I don't know of any other VS users with a significant background or interest in brain science that might want the channel. I barely have time to visit VS on occasion now, much less try to properly maintain a channel.
[edit] I'm pretty sure that dag and lucky would go for it despite the gold star. You've been around and contributed too much.

Alrighty. Thanks!
In reply to this comment by oritteropo:
My things-to-sift file is already bulging, so thanks for the offer but I'll give it a miss this time. I just passed them on because I found them while deadpool mining, and if you did want to resurrect your dead vid with a similar live performance you could.
In reply to this comment by berticus:
You should sift 'em! They're different enough..
In reply to this comment by oritteropo:
I found two versions of Kat Edmonton Lucky (live), but neither of them quite replace the one you had. Feel free to use one to undead your vid though, if one is close enough:

Have you read it? I feel that the story Sagan wrote was intellectually richer than the movie -- although I do love the movie too.

If it is just us... seems like an awful waste of space.
I just finished watching Contact today after a decade since my previous viewing and then here I see your quote from it. Funny.

ahhhh CRAP i didn't really watch it, just checked that it at least worked. ok, replaced with that dailymotion part 1 clip.
In reply to this comment by jonny:
That's a bummer about the blocked version.
I was hoping you'd avoid that youtube one - it cuts off the beginning with that funky cross walk music.
In reply to this comment by berticus:
yup, it's region blocked, so fuck 'em. replaced with another youtube clip for now.
In reply to this comment by jonny:
hey - your Animatrix video is dead. I know you have it posted in two parts (and the second one is currently still alive), but Dailymotion has the whole thing in one video - and the best part is, it's posted by WB, i.e., the
copyright holderlicensed North American distributor (it might be blocked?). The sad part is that is has a crummy 30 second commercial at the beginning, and I don't think dailymotion supports any sort of 'start' parameter.http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7j1oe_the-animatrix-beyond_shortfilms
If you want to stick with part 1, http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7nlm, looks like a good copy.
And, btw, I totally agree - this is definitely the best of the Animatrix shorts. Classic Morimoto.

in that case, i'm taking it out of the channel. thanks.
In reply to this comment by mkknyr:
well, i wanted to put it in the "ghey" channel, but there isn't one... so I had to revert to pre-P.C. usage.

hey, can you tell me why this clip is in the gay channel? cheers.

Thanks, jonny. I especially liked how fired up you got in this thread. Quite touched, I was.
