Mitt Romney - I Like Firing People

NetRunner says...

The problem with this quote for Romney is that ultimately it's a Freudian slip.

Yes, he was trying to make some sort of point about consumers being able to choose to take their business elsewhere, but the way he chose to frame that was in terms of taking joy in firing people for not pleasing him.

That reveals a lot that's ugly about his character. It also really drives home the whole "he looks like the guy who just laid off your dad" vibe that has been dogging him throughout his whole political career.

Oh, and the in-context argument is fucking hilarious, because basically he's extolling the virtues of how awesome Obamacare is. If people get fucked over by their insurance company after they get sick, thanks to Obamacare they can just switch insurance companies without fear of being rejected over a preexisting condition. But Romney lies and says Obamacare means the opposite, because Republicans lie about everything all the time.

Well, unless they make a Freudian slip and accidentally tell the truth.

McCain (accidentally) endorses Obama at Romney rally

VoodooV says...

Doesn't matter how you twist it, it still makes Republicans look bad. If it truly was a freudian slip, then he supports Obama. Or at the very least, he has absolutely no love for Romney and is just playing politician and putting party before country.

If it truly was a honest mis-speak then it's slam against McCain getting old and senile and unable to keep track of stuff which leads to a slam against how this guy almost became President. He was just rolling right along with his speech and didn't catch it until he was prompted.

Too bad...I liked the guy back in 2000. I think he actually put country before party back then. Not anymore.

Not attracted to her at all and I am a sucker for tall, skinny, pasty, artsy, intelligent, brunettes with dark brown eyes. She had so much going for her; but I'm sure she'd rather figure out the probability of failing?

It is ok though. It wouldn't work out even if I was attracted to her. She hates me and I know it. I can tell simply by the way she speaks and her body language. I don't know, usually when I date a girl/lady/woman, though frustratingly rare - it's usually like they knock my socks off the second I see them because we immediately have this intense connection and she usually is... tall, skinny, intelligent... maybe I have some sort of Freudian problem. LOL.

Incredibly, well done, simple and thought-provoking video though.

I love this girl.

But is she cute/hot? What does she look like?

Not bad.

It's time.

What I would call that is a brain fart..and I'll give you a round number; zero. This idea that everyone who is against homosexuality are themselves unconsciously attracted to the idea I think is nonsense, like they are fighting against a desire so they cover it with disgust and manufactured outrage. Maybe some people do that, but the idea isn't just unpalatable to me, it grieves me at heart. All sin leads to death, and people ensnared by sin are heading towards it unless they repent. For me this is a heart matter stemming from compassion not condemnation. I say what I do because of the fact that the Lord commanded me to do so, and because I care, not because I want anything bad to happen to anyone, or that I think anyone is less than I am.

I love that Freudian slips work on the Internet too. So how many gay people have you had SB? In round numbers. <IMG class=smiley src="http://cdn.videosift.com/cdm/emoticon/wink.gif">>> ^shinyblurry:
I don't have anything except gay people.

It's time.

oops, freudian slip! I guess Daniel is the only Craig my mind deems worth remembering

I think it's William Lane Craig rather than Daniel Craig. That said, I would love to see Sam debate James Bond.

So Lot chose to pinch his tits close to Sodom and Gomorrah, and then pitched a tent? Sounds logical. Gotta love the wide eyes of realization after the Freudian slip. Do I sense a well endowed lady in the front row?

Ayn Coulter backs Ron Paul for 2012

It's blankfist.

I'm convinced that @blankfist and Penn Gillette are the only living market libertarians with a properly functioning sense of humor. My apologies to Drew Carey. >> ^marbles:
Ayn? LOL Subliminal message or Freudian slip?
air-date? early 2009?
She was being a bit facetious. Not that Palin, Perry, and the rest of them don't try to position themselves as some type of libertarian, so of course a partisan talking head is going to try to pretend she's a libertarian too, especially right after her "side" got their asses handing to them in the recent election.
She was also assuming the "War would be over" (as per Obama rhetoric). How was she to know the global bankers own BOTH parties and the war machine was only getting started?
Also the question wasn't "Who do you back in 2012?", it was "Who is the leading candidate for the Republicans in 2012?"
And for once, she was spot on.

Wait, so was this joke directed at all market libertarians or just blankfist and Penn Gillette? (What's Penn's username btw?)

That's good stuff. Really. You should submit it to the Daily Show.
