Good point, and I love your freudian typo, "legal and legal immigrants" (if you have a link to the doc...). The problem of homeless immigrants here is a complicated one: there are shelters for asylum-seekers but they a) are not numerous enough to keep up with the growing influx, b) try to prioritize women/children, c) have trouble with interethnic squabbles (which can grow to full-fledged knife-fights, thank FSM we don't have guns in easy circulation), d) have to deal with the profiteers/criminals giving them a bad rep.
In addition to this, those who have been denied permission to stay are less likely to show up at state-run shelters where they are liable to be found out and escorted out (of the country). Finally, criminal tourism* in Europe (especially the richer countries, like CH) is a real problem, one the US does not experience.

*a huge topic of its own, but some examples in CH are French car-thieves, Romanian mafia-organised begging/breaking-and-entering (often using children so as not to get penalised), North African drug-dealing (the hard stuff), etc. None of these make it easier for the population to be more accepting of the vast majority of non-criminal foreigners from these parts, because it is as usual the criminals who are the most visible.

i grew up with a pretty gnarly scoliosis. Body language that wasn't strained or uncomfortable was nearly impossible.
Most of us have distortion in our spines that effects who we are, how we move, and how we present. Perhaps you do not, but ignoring the physical realities of the species to pretend that how we are perceived is mostly a conscious choice, is understating the matter.

Let me understand this. He is armed with a loaded weapon and an assailant was suddenly somehow on top of him with his head against the pavement (11:07), but he doesn't reach for his weapon. Instead, he yells out, hoping the nearby residents will save him.

"He just kept slamming and slamming and I just kept yelling help!"

So someone is "slamming and slamming" your head into the pavement, and even though you have a gun, you don't even reach for it. You just lay there, head being slammed into the ground, loaded firearm at the ready, yelling for help while your head is caved in.

Yeah... I'm not condoning what happened, but I'm with @dystopianfuturetoday. Could have just been a freudian slip or a mis-read. Happens to me all the time when I read in class.

Besides, I've watched this show over the years. It's the last place I'd expect a big slant or some slight of hand that might ruin the shows integrity. It's a dull show with slow moving, methodical commentary/interviews. A far cry from Hannity or Olberman.
