Nicole Faires is the wife and she's authored a few books which I must say all look intriguing. I'm going through these videos now and they're just really awesome, what a great way to live.

OMG! I LOVE Easter egg videos!

I wasn't sure at first if you got it.

Oh, that little scamp has many talents.
I don't know what you know, but just in case, and for the record... I was found innocent of all charges that weren't dropped at the onset. I wasn't even there. I have multiple witnesses that placed me at Trinity Lutheran Church Bingo Night until 10:00PM, and I have the Old Spice gift pack and case of Depends that I won to prove it. I have no idea how she got my number. Ask her press secretary. I will have no further comments on the matter.

FOX explains $4 gas when Bush was president

My wife drives a hybrid and pays $60 a month filling up her tank twice a month.
My advice to you sirs, is to get a hybrid and LEASE it for 3 years. If you lease it, then, yes, you're not building equity with the car, but it alleviates the biggest complaint about hybrid cars: replacing the battery means you'll negate any savings on gas.
When her lease is up, we simply roll it over into another lease, with another 3 year warranty (which covers the battery during those three years as well).
WIN!

I'd prefer a diesel over a hybrid.

Bingo! I've been driving a VW Golf TDI for over 9 years now. I pay fuel costs comparable to a hybrid without all the extra costs of owning a hybrid.

Even in the dead of a NY winter, I don't have any problems. You pour a splash of fuel additive in when it gets down in the single digits and that's that. No block heater, no garage. Just wait 30s for the glow plugs and then turn the key and go.

Rick Santorum Eloquently Debunks "The Science"

NetRunner says...

>> ^xxovercastxx:

Did their teacher not teach them anything about science in their science classes?

Bingo! School is not about learning; it's about memorizing. If you can regurgitate the teachers' talking points, then you can pass the teachers' tests.
Outside of math class, where they pretty much have to teach you how things work, I learned almost nothing in school. The vast majority of what I know, and I'm a pretty knowledgeable person, is stuff I learned on my own after school was long over.

That gives me hope that the human race can survive the idiot onslaught, if only we can improve education.

On second thought, we're all doomed.

Stephen Colbert interviews Neil DeGrasse Tyson

I just watched the whole thing. What an amazing man Dr. Tyson is. I honestly wish I was as passionate about anything in my life as he is about the cosmos.
I wish I could have seen this man speak when I was a young kid. I would have done things much differently in the course of my life.
Excellent sift.

Bingo! I have always held that teaching is less about information than it is inspiration.

Daniel Gilbert: Free Will vs. Predestination

MaxWilder says...

Bingo!

We don't know, but you've got to live your life as if you have free will. Otherwise it is all a pointless roller-coaster ride. Well, pointless aside from the fact that it might be fun. If you take responsibility for your choices, then you can improve yourself and your circumstances. If you leave it all up to God, then you are doing nothing more than waiting to die.

Josh Silver's Adjustable Water-filled Eyeglasses

jmzero says...

Upvote... but I'd be interested what advantages this has over some competing models:

1. You have the same adjustable glasses, but make them more rugged/sealed and add some labelling to the dials and what not. Then you can adjust them until it's right. Then read off the numbers and take the matching set out of the big bin of $1 plastic glasses. Perhaps, in order to be more efficient and deal with varying eyes, you have glasses with snap in lenses.

Or, even simpler:

2. You have some bins of plastic glasses (or snap in lenses) and an eye chart. People come in and try glasses on until they find the set that works best for them.

If you forego any sort of fashion, use cheapest materials, and get some Chinese "dollar store" manufacturers involved, I bet you get these down to $.10. Especially if you really simplify design: a single strip of punched plastic/nylon/birdshit for the frame, and squareish plastic lenses with top/bottom slots to hold them in. Make lenses in ratio to the most common prescriptions, and bingo you're done.

I like to think I've driven more people to videosift than away. I will not attest to the quality of the people though.

In case you're interested, I think I accidentally figured out this mystery. After you pointed it out I kept noticing "rape" in the recent searches. Well earlier today I also saw "Monica Bellucci" in the recent searches. I thought that was an odd one, because I've seen next to no videos with her in them here, especially nothing in recent months, maybe even years. Anyway I clicked the Monica Bellucci tag and saw this video at the top. Lo and behold, it's a video about rape too. So I decided to read the comments, because I thought there surely must be some remarks about how controversial both this movie and this scene were, and I noticed this comment in particular. BINGO! He's right; people are coming here in search of a movie rape scene. "Rape" is a major source of searched-based traffic for VS.

So how about that? Think about what kind of lurkers we have? Makes me want to load a gun and wear a biohazard suit whenever I log in now.

I'm a fucking saint. "Saint That-guy-in-the-bushes-with-a-trenchcoat-and-huge-glasses" aka Saint Valentine. I even have a day, where people go around raping each other. Sure, they butter each other up with candy and hearts and all that junk, but that's only until they can get their prey to their rapist vans.. or so I've been told.

I mean, he seemed like such a nice guy with candy and stuff...

1) Great detective work
2) That's fucking crazy. You could've never predicted this site's popularity would be based on a graphic rape scene...although you could predict who would've posted such a scene...HAHA jokes, gwiz is good people.
3) The creepiest part of this all, is the crazy comments this video attracted. It's like the destination-spot in a pilgrimage for creeps.

It really wasn't good detective work - more like lucky Sift surfing. But isn't that some crazy shit? Jesus, law enforcement agencies all over the country could probably solve a lot of rape cases by looking at all the Facebook members who 'like' VideoSift.

VideoSift©: Quality rape videos.
