I have written additional stuff at this sift, if you're interested.

Same-sex "marriage" remains part and parcel of the "making shit up" argument. It's something that did not exist until very recently, and has never existed in any religion or society except in extremely limited instances with zero far-reaching consequences.

A lot of things haven't existed until very recently. In this case it's called progress.

Society has a right to define what is best. That doesn't mean polygamists, cohabitators, gay couples, etc. are left out in the cold with no rights, it means since society has deemed a marriage of one man/one woman the way that works best, then that is the relationship held in highest esteem.

Comparing gay marriage to polygamy is a straw man fallacy. Denying polygamy does not discriminate based on sexual orientation.

Comparing gay equality to the Civil Rights movement is bogus...Civil Rights was about achieving the SAME rights, not special rights.

How does a gay marriage have any more rights than a straight one? They're fighting for the SAME rights that are given to straight couples. If this was 60 years ago you'd be arguing against giving black people the "special" right to use the same water fountain as you.

Why should the rest of us be forced at gunpoint to accept gay "marriage" as equal to traditional marriage? Tyranny of the minority is just as bad as the other way.

You call it tyranny if you're forced to accept that a minority has access to the same rights as you do? You playing the victim here is moronic and laughable.

Man this link is amazing! The announcers are hilarious. Skip to 24:40 and just listen to how they react to the terran player sneaking a dropship around. Priceless.

Looks interesting. Wanna play the game before I pass judgement. Better be damn good if it wants to knock SupCom off the RTS podium.

If there is a podium for RTS, the reigning king for the past 12 years is Brood War. And no game, including Starcraft II, is going to topple that for a while.

You don't get this with SupCom:

If you read my comment I never said I was that good. I never said I was a legit player, I said "Because of it legit players who just happen to have a useless talent for the game get accused of hacking."

The main reason I do not play FPS on PC.
Hacking, and Glitching ruins the game. Because of it legit players who just happen to have a useless talent for the game get accused of hacking.

Maybe the lack of dedicated servers has something to do with it. In most pc fps games, cheaters and hackers get detected and banned, exploits are patched, and having favorite server list makes cheating a non-issue. And I doubt you were ever good enough to get confused for a cheater everywhere you go, since if you're that good, why are you wasting your time on random pub matches in the first place.

I'm not very good either, so being confused for a cheater is never a problem for me. I have a few friends who are that good though, but for them, being confused for a cheater is a non issue because these players play competitive league matches and spend their time on clan servers most of the time anyways.

For me, cheating on pc games have never been bothersome because programs like punkbuster and VAC keep away the casual cheaters, and it doesn't take long to develop a list of servers which are friendly, reliable, and good at banning cheaters.

I did indeed. I tried to respond to that whole "is this magic" argument that was going on, and I couldn't very well call David Blaine "technology"

And to me holding your breath for 17 minutes means you're in league with some dark forces for certain.

Any sufficiently advanced feat is indistinguishable from magic.

I hope you're misquoting Arthur C. Clarke deliberately for the lulz, and not actually trying to be serious =P

Thanks, I'll try to remember that. I still can't rerad the text but I'll try to at least lable it's language of origin. My brother-in-law is Chineese and both his kids have learned to read and write in Chinese (They are primarily english speaking). It looks so complicated when I watch them doing their workbooks. They are lucky though, that's a skill that will open many doors for them...

I have to say..., I personally wouldn't know the difference between Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Kanji, Tagalog or other similar texts - I can't read them and I admit wouldn't know one from another - so the text overlays, to me, just says "Not English, definitely Asian" - I hope that isn't offensive, it's just fact!
>> ^mentality:
Yeah seriously, you'd think the chinese subtitles overlaying the original korean text would tip him off. -1 (if only) for arr asian rook arike.

Quick and dirty guide to telling Asian characters apart:

(*note: Kanji = chinese characters used in Japanese.)
Chinese: really complicated looking with lots of strokes.
Japanese: more simple looking with fewer strokes
Korean: also simple looking but looks more regular and geometrical with lots of little circles. The little circles are uniquely korean.
