Hi James,

I cleared my cache (clear private data) in Firefox and was able to submit with no problems. Maybe that's all it took. I should have thought of that before posting.

This bug has been reported by several other users, Arvana in particular. Can you give me a complete rundown. I might have to try logging in as you to see if I can duplicate it. I would stress though that this bug appears to be user specific and not site wide.

thanks for the reply James, I just read it.

The dodgy word is Absolutley.

As far as videosift charter pricing goes we are 20 bucks a year lower than totalfark which is probably the easiest direct comparison. Slashdot has an interesting model where you pay 5 dollars for 1,000 ad free pages.

Our current pricing assumes a page view of about 20 pages a day for charter members. If you load that many pages day we are generating about 40 bucks a year off of your ad views. I think that 20 pages a day is probably about right for most high end users, and from that perspective our prices seem fair to me.

Another way to look at it is that a videosift charter membership comes out to about 10 cents a day. I sort of feel like 10 cents a day is pretty cheap in terms of the amount of entertainment derived from the site, compared to a cable bill for instance it is a paltry sum.

At any rate we are going to add some more features to make the charter memberships more palatable.

Spelling is my personal demon, what word in particular is botched?

I have plenty of geek, but virtually no 'leet'. I looked up "noze" in an urban dicitonary and got this:

" A sudden exclamation, traditionally a sarcastic cry of discontent. Usually uttered in a childish voice if spoken, or typed in all caps with Izyized punctuation. Also seen as "OH NOES" '

Thought you were annoyed at one beggin and whining for more toys. Misunderstood, sorry.

disregard the snarky complaint I left on your gtalk.

In reply to your comment:
oh man, i'm sorry I wasn't trying to be rude. I just always find myself saying "this feature will be in VS 3.0," I find myself saying it so much that I imagine other people are like "When is this stupid vaporware going to appear." Hence my comment saying we have included this feature for vs 3.0 was the vaporware plug.... I was trying to self flagellate and be cute about it. Sorry it got lost in translation.

You know James? Never mind *discard

Thank you, James.

So we are updating the faq, to modernize the no snuff rule. Basically we have the rule because we don't want to be "faces of death sift." That said there are some things that should be available for debate. With that in mind we are going to revise it to allow death from reliable news sources as well as from documentaries.

The faq won't say this explicitly but we will still probably remove anything REALLY graphic, even if fox / cnn / whomever thought it was appropriate to air.

you know, I was just gonna say that they looked more like hipsters... their clothes are too tastefully compiled for retro tackiness to be nerds... although their hair does look like it's approaching the appropriate grease level needed to upgrade one's RAM...

In reply to your comment:
No comment about the LOL NERDS? that stuff is comedy gold... although that particular bunch looks a bit more like hipsters.
